Texas state aquarium is the largest aquarium in Texas & one of the largest aquarium in the US. Located in Corpus Christi, Texas, the aquarium receives large number of people every year.

The Texas State Aquarium offers a full day of ocean exploration with its 20 unique exhibits. The bottlenose dolphins Shadow and Kai, who share a 400,000-gallon (1.5 million-liter) tank and play together, are two of the aquarium’s most well-known inhabitants.

How to reach Texas State Aquarium

The Texas State Aquarium is situated on North Beach. Approximately 4 miles (6.5 kilometres) from Corpus Christi’s downtown and 200 miles (322 kilometres) southwest of Houston.

Take the Highway 181 North Harbor Bridge exit to get there from Corpus Christi. Parking is provided for free on-site.

On the west side of San Antonio, Texas, in the Westover Hills neighbourhood, there is a 250-acre (100 ha) marine mammal park, oceanarium, and animal theme park called SeaWorld San Antonio.

One of the largest marine-life theme parks in the world with a focus on conservation, education, and animal rescue, it is the biggest of the three parks in the SeaWorld group and is owned and run by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

It is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and a member of the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums (AMMPA) (AZA).
