Tata Motors launched the Tiago & Tigor iCNG on 19th January, 2021. Now the company has started the deliveries of the cars. The Tiago iCNG starts at Rs 6.10 lakh and goes upto Rs 7.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors will retail the sedan Tigor iCNG at a base price of Rs 7.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The top variant of the Tigor iCNG gets a price tag of Rs 8.42 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Tiago iCNG Engine
The Tata Tiago iCNG gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine. Same engine is also available in the Tigor iCNG. This engine packs 73PS and 95 Nm. Due to iCNG technology, the power sees a drop of 13PS as compared to the petrol model of both the cars. To keep price in check, Tata Motors is offering 5-speed manual on the Tiago & Tigor iCNG. The CNG tank is of 60-litre which occupies most of the boot space. This results into less boot space as compared to the petrol models.
The Tiago iCNG is available in five variants while the Tigor iCNG gets three variants. Customers can get the Tiago iCNG in XE, XM, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ dual tone variants. The iCNG variants on the Tigor goes with the name of XZ, XZ+ and XZ+ dual tone. Both cars gets new dual-tone interiors. The Tiago is now available in new Midnight Plum colour option.
Tata Tiago & Tigor iCNG Rivals
Both the cars gets an attractive price tag. The Tata Tiago iCNG rivals the Hyundai Santro and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R CNG. Maruti Suzuki recently launched the Celerio CNG too. The Celerio CNG is also a rival of the Tiago iCNG. After this, the Tigor iCNG rivals the Hyundai Aura CNG which is the sole rival of the sedan.
