- After receiving a great response in India, Nissan will now export the India-made Magnite to 15 different countries
Nissan launched the Magnite on 2 December, 2020. At the time of launch Nissan shocked everyone with the base price of just Rs 4.99 lakh. It was an introductory price and now the Magnite starts at Rs 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom). Low price attracted lot of customers that resulted in massive bookings for the compact SUV. Now almost after two years of launch the Magnite bookings has crossed the 78,000 mark. Since its launch Nissan has produced 42,000+ models of the compact SUV in its Chennai plant. Out of 42,000 models 6,344 models were exported from the plant.
Magnite Export To 15 Countries
After exporting 6,344 models from India, Nissan will export the Magnite to 15 countries. Nissan has expanded the export market from 13 to 15 countries for the Magnite. In 2021, Nissan launched India-made Magnite in South Africa and Indonesia. Neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also get India-made Magnite SUVs. Other countries where India-made Nissan Magnite is available are Kenya, Mauritius, Brunei, Uganda, Seychelles, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi and Tanzania.
Nissan Magnite Engine
The Nissan Magnite is available in 1.0-Litre NA and 1.0-Litre turbo petrol engine. Former packs 71 bhp and 96 Nm while latter packs 99 bhp and 160 Nm. Nissan offers 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox on the Magnite. Nissan Magnite shares its platform with the Renault Kiger. The price for the Magnite starts at Rs 5.76 lakh for the base XE variant. Top variant is the XV Premium CVT variant that gets a price tag of Rs 10.15 lakh. Nissan Magnite rivals the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue in its segment.
