Man Accidentally Shoots Friend Thinking The Gun Was Unloaded, Like Previous 10 Times He Pointed It As A Joke

Boca Raton: According to investigators, a man shot his friend, and he is now in jail. On October 9, 2022, a shooting took place in Boca Raton.

Albert Medina, 35, called the Boca Raton Authorities Department and, according to the police, was urgently asking for an ambulance.

Throughout the call, Medina insisted that the firing was an accident and that he was unaware that the gun contained a bullet.

The arrest document states that the 22-year-old victim was lying on the couch in the living room with a belt over his arm acting as a makeshift tourniquet when officers arrived. The Delray Medical Center received him.

Medina requested the victim to grab something from the car, the victim told the police. When the victim refused, Medina drew out his gun and, in jest, pointed it at the person and fired.

The victim anticipated that the gun would be empty because that is how it had always been during their earlier jokes.

They frequently do this, according to the affidavit. The victim reported to the authorities that Medina had previously pointed an unloaded firearm at him roughly ten times.

He claimed that it was always a joke and that he did not want to press charges. When Medina was questioned by authorities, his narrative corroborated and he claimed to not have known the revolver was loaded.
