When Mahindra launched the XUV700, it got sold like hot cakes. On the first day of bookings 25,000 models went off the shelves in just under an hour. On second day too customers booked next 25,000 models in a record time. Now the booking numbers has crossed the whopping 1 lakh mark for the XUV700. The bookings commenced from October 7 and it kept increasing ever since. Huge bookings led to a massive waiting period on the Mahindra XUV700. The waiting period is upto 20 months or 1.5+ years on the SUV which is huge.
Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Period
All thanks to huge bookings, the waiting period on the XUV700 is unlike any other car available in the market. Minimum waiting period is around 6 months and goes upto 20 months. The waiting period is not only dependent on variants but colours as well. Midnight Black, Electric Blue and Everest White are the most sought colour variants. This also includes the Red Raze and Dazzling Silver colour available on the SUV. The entry level MX variant gets a waiting period of 6-8 months for both petrol & diesel. For the AX3 variant the waiting period is 7-10 months. AX5 variant waiting period stands at 12 months and 15 months for the AX7 variant. The topmost AX7 variant is in most demand.
Mahindra XUV700 Engine
The Mahindra XUV700 gets a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine and 2.0-litre petrol engine. The petrol engine packs 195 bhp and 380 Nm while diesel engine gets 153 bhp and 360 Nm. Same diesel engine on the AX variant packs 182 bhp. The torque also shoots up to 420 Nm and 450 Nm when paired with manual and automatic automatic transmission on the AX variant.
