Mahindra has updated the Bolero with a new safety feature. The SUV now comes with dual airbags. In addition to it the Bolero gets reverse parking sensors and ABS too. All these new safety features are standard on the SUV. This makes the Bolero safer than before. Mahindra was supposed to offer dual airbags on the Bolero facelift. But the company has gone a step ahead and introduced it to the current model.
Mahindra Bolero Variants
The Mahindra Bolero SUV is available in three variants. The base variant is B4 while B6 is the mid-variant available on the SUV. Mahindra offers B6(O) variant which is the top variant of the Bolero. All these variants now gets an enhanced safety features. This includes dual airbags, ABS, reverse parking sensors and seat belt reminder.
Mahindra Bolero Engine
The Bolero gets its power from a 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine. This engine puts out 75 BHP and 210 Nm on the SUV. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Even the Bolero facelift will get the same engine. There’s no petrol engine available on the Mahindra Bolero. The Bolero is a rear wheel drive SUV. So the 1.5-litre diesel unit sends the power to the rear wheels.
Mahindra Bolero Sales
Even though the Bolero is an outdated SUV, it continues to be one of the best selling Mahindra. In January 2022, Mahindra sold 3,506 models of it. For many consecutive years, the Bolero used to be the best selling Mahindra. But in January 2022, newly launched Thar took the first spot with 4,646 models sold.
