Jonah Hill was paid $60k(£36k) fee for The Wolf of Wall Street

The 30-year-old recently revealed that he hated his character in the film.

23 January 2014: Jonah Hill has disclosed that his involvement in The Wolf of Wall Street paid him $60,000.

Leonardo DiCaprio, who also produced the picture, earned around $10 million, according to the actor.

On The Howard Stern Show in the United States, the Hollywood celebrity stated that he got paid the amount “before commissions and taxes.”

“They offered me the smallest amount of money conceivable,” he explained.

Hill claims he agreed to take the minimal pay because he was desperate to work with director Martin Scorsese.

“That was their offer and I said, ‘I will sign the paper tonight. Fax them the papers tonight. I want to sign them tonight before they change their mind. I want to sign them before I go to sleep tonight so they legally can’t change their mind’.”

The 30-year-old recently admitted that he hated his role in the movie.

“They say you’re not supposed to judge the character at all, and I tried my hardest, but there wasn’t much I liked about Donnie,” he remarked.

“I just didn’t like the way Donnie treated people, and that was the hardest part for me.”
