GMC Hummer EV Production Begins In Detroit

General Motors has commenced the production of the Hummer EV. First model of Hummer EV got rolled out in GM’s Detroit plant. With beginning of deliveries, General Motors is marking a major milestone for it’s next generation electric vehicles. The first Hummer went to auction for $2.5 Million for The Tunnels to Towers foundation. Hummer EV is the first product to incorporate Ultium Platform, motors and batteries. General Motors has plan to use them into dozen of new electric vehicles. General Motors is investing $30 billion by 2025 in development of electric vehicles.

GMC Hummer EV makes 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. This can push Hummer EV from 0 to 60 mph in about three seconds. Hummer EV has a claimed range of 329 miles. Noteworthy features of Hummer EV includes four-wheel steering, crab walk, adaptive air suspension, super cruise ADAS and Watts to Freedom launch control. General Motors offer load of tech in Hummer EV. In terms of features this is undoubtedly the best Hummer we’ve ever came across. Now the production of electric truck has begun, we expect the production model to live up to the hype.
