Ford F-150 Lightning Bookings Cross 200,000 Models

Ford Motor unveiled F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck in May, 2021. After seven months, the bookings for F-150 Lightning has crossed 200,000 models. Due to overwhelming response from the customers, Ford has stopped taking further bookings for F-150 Lightning. Ford Motor CEO, Jim Farley talk about this landmark achievement on CNBC.

The production of the F-150 Lightning is capped at 70,000 to 80,000 models yearly. Ford plans to double its installed production capacity in coming years. The company has already planned a new factory near Dearborn, Michigan where Ford headquarters are located.

Ford has recently revealed the battery battery pack details of F-150 Lightning. It will get 98kWh and 131kWh battery pack. Former will get a range of around 230 miles (370 Km) while latter will offer 300 miles (482Km) of range.

Tesla Cybertruck is the rival of Ford F-150 Lightning

Ford Motor CEO, Jim Farley and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk war continues with F-150 Lightning too. The biggest rival of Ford F-150 Lightning is the Tesla Cybertruck. Tesla already has over 1 million bookings for the Cybertruck.
