December 25: Florida Man Arrested For Handing Out Marijuana On Christmas Eve

Since “it was Christmas,” a Florida man was taken into custody on December 25 for distributing marijuana.

According to the Pinellas County arrest report, police in St. Pete confronted Richard Ellis Spurrier, 67, around 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to NBC affiliate WFLA.

Police stated Spurrier had 45 grammes of marijuana on him and was passing it out to others as they passed by.

Spurrier claimed during a police interview that he was distributing the marijuana “because it was Christmas.”

Spurrier was accused of having marijuana in his hands with the intent to sell it.

Police claimed that when they apprehended Spurrier, they discovered a concealed sword in his cane.
