We got to see some new cars in January, 2022. Tata Motors launched the Tiago & Tigor CNG while Maruti launched the Celerio CNG. At the same time, Toyota introduced the 2022 Camry Hybrid sedan and the Skoda introduced the Kodiaq facelift in the Indian market. Now in February, 2022 too we’ll get to see some new car launches. So here’s the list of top 5 new car launches this month.
2022 Maruti Baleno
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the 2022 Baleno this month. Company has started the production of the premium hatchback in its Gujarat plant. The 2022 Baleno will be heavily updated. It gets a new exterior as well as interior updates. The exterior updates includes new front look with new grilles, new taillights and bumpers. On the inside the new Baleno will get new dashboard design and infotainment system. Maruti will offer no changes in the engine department.
2022 MG ZS EV
MG Motor India claims 27 percent market share in EV segment with the MG ZS EV. It will get new updates for 2022 which includes looks inspired from the MG Astor. 2022 MG ZS EV is already on sale in several international markets. It gets 51kWh battery which is bigger as compared to 44.5kWh on the current model. 2022 MG ZS EV may offer 500+ km range and could also get 10.1-inch touchscreen.
2022 Maruti WagonR
With the launch of new Baleno, Maruti is also looking to give the WagonR a facelift update. Exact details about the 2022 WagonR are not available but it is expected to get new front look. Just like the new Baleno there will be no changes in the engine. Maruti offers 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engine on the WagonR.
The Kia Carens is all set for launch in February, 2022. Kia started to accept bookings for the Carens from 14 January at a amount of Rs 25,000. The Kia Carens got 7,000+ bookings on the first day. After the Seltos and Sonet, the Carens is third mass product from Kia in India. Kia has already started the production of the Carens MPV at its Anantapur plant. It is available in two petrol and one diesel engine.
Audi Q7 Facelift
The Q7 facelift will make its way to India on 3 February, 2022. Audi discontinued it on 2020 due to BS6 emission norms. But now the Q7 is back with lots of styling updates. Both exterior and interior gets a lot of updates as compared to the discontinued model. Audi will only offer 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine on the Q7 facelift. This engine puts out 340 BHP of max power.
2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk
In February 2022, Jeep will launch the new Jeep Compass Trailhawk. When Jeep introduced the new Compass SUV the trailhawk variant was missing. Now this month it will be launched. The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will get the same engine but will be more capable. Jeep will offer new front & rear bumpers and a different 4-wheel drive system on the SUV.
Mini Cooper SE
The market of EVs is still in its initial stages. But still automakers are exploring it with new electric cars. The Mini Cooper SE is one of them. It is on sale in several international markets from 2019. Now it will go on sale in the Indian market. The Mini Cooper SE will be imported in India as CBU. It gets a 32.6kWh battery with a maximum range of 279 kms and a top speed of 150 km/h. It’s the last car in our upcoming cars in February 2022 list.
