After blockbuster launch of the XUV700, Mahindra is all set to introduce the new Scorpio. The new Scorpio will hit the market this year. After numerous spy shots here we’ve another one that reveals new details about the 2022 Scorpio. In recent spy shots the Mahindra Scorpio got huge tail lights. Like always the car was covered in heavy camouflage. But the huge tail lights are illuminated and shows its massive design. The Scorpio is known for its bold presence and the new Scorpio will also get the same. The SUV will even grown up and will get larger dimensions than the current model. The tail lights here extends onto the tail gate and will be in wrap-around style. Similar to what we see on the Mahindra XUV700.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio Specs

Apart from the tail lights there’s more to talk about here. This is confirmed that the Scorpio will get an all-new front look. Presence of new alloy wheels makes the SUV even more interesting. The Scorpio will now enter into its third generation. Mahindra will offer it in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine could be 2.0-litre mStallion that we seen on the Thar SUV. The new Scorpio may borrow its 2.2-litre diesel engine from the XUV700. Both manual and automatic gearbox will be available on the SUV.

New updates comes with new features too. The new Scorpio will get features such as 8.0-inch touchscreen system, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and more. Features list also includes cruise control and connected car technology. A 4×4 drivetrain will be also on offer with the new Scorpio. Like the XUV700 the 4×4 drivetrain will be only available on the top variants. Current Mahindra Scorpio starts at Rs 13.18 lakh and goes upto Rs 18.20 lakh (ex-showroom). After launch the new Scorpio will rival the Tata Safari and MG Hector in its segment.
